WARNING : Some players have trouble jumping as high as needed, it looks like it doesnt work on 120 Hz platform without setting it up to 60 Hz beforehand !

Hi, and welcome !

Jumping Slime is a little platform in which you have to go through nine little levels.
Your slime cannot walk nor run, and is only able to jump. You have to charge each jump with more or less force to beat the game without dying ; the less jumps used in a level, the better gets your rank.

You only need a mouse to play, or a touchpad. To jump, press left click, and aim with the mouse !

This game has been made as a submission to the Godot Wild Jam #49. The given theme was Unstable, and I tried to validate the A Blast From the Pastel wild card. I tried to design a game centered around unstable platforms, but I couldn't develop one of the core mechanics I had in mind, so I do realize the theme isnt as central as it was gonna be, but I decided to keep working with what I had, as I found the game to be fun.

GWJ#49 has been extended for a week, but I don't know if I'll be able to work on the game during this extension ; so even though the game is online, it may be updated before the end of the jam.

For some reason, I just noticed you can't go back to the menu after completing the game. This no being game breaker but just a little annoying, I decided not to bother anyone to reupload a fixed version of the game. Don't worry, when you finish the 9 levels, there are no secrets !

Jumping Slime is the first game I fully made from scratch all by myself ! I am a designer more than a developer, and I'm not an artist, but I hope you still will be able to enjoy this. Everything present in this game is original resources I personnally made this week, except for the font, which is the Light Pixel-7, by Style-7.

I might just be missing something obvious, but how do you jump higher? I fell down when trying to reach the start sign and got stuck.

Super cute concept though! I love the colour scheme.

Are you playing on a 120 Hz set up ? Someone mentionned he had trouble jumping high enough with his 120 Hz set up and had to change his rate to 60 Hz, the fact you cant jump high enough probably means that was it :/

Yes, I changed my setup to 60Hz and it worked fine. Really fun game though!

Okay, thanks for confirming the issue, I put a warning message on the game page.

Thank you and glad you enjoyed it !
